Pure Country Puppies Terms, Conditions & Limitations of One Year Health Guarantee
The Buyer must have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within three (3) days of transfer of the puppy, excluding weekends and holidays. A copy of the examination (vet report) must be kept for buyer's records in the event this guarantee should be exercised. Failure to show proof of this vet appointment will render this guarantee void.
Usually, the puppy will be ready for his/her new home at 8 weeks of age, but occasionally a puppy may need additional time with the Breeder. The final determination of the shipping date for the puppy is made by the Breeder and the Breeder's veterinarian, with the health of the puppy being the overriding factor.
After Buyer has received their new puppy in the unlikely event this puppy is found to have a congenital or genetic defect that is life-threatening, a statement from 2 different licensed DVM's (Doctor of Veterinarian Medicine) of Buyer's choosing confirming such an event and the cause is required before any action will be taken by the Breeder. If this guarantee against life threatening genetic defect is exercised, and a replacement puppy (from the next available litter) is given, Buyer will be allowed to keep the original puppy if they choose to do so.
Puppies are considered high risk for Coccidia and Giardia. These health issues are easily treatable they are often brought on by stress from shipping, new home, new food, new people and change of climate and surroundings. All puppies are treated for both Coccidia and Giardia before leaving our home. Treatment however is not guaranteed that a puppy will not respond differently with stress. Even though blood may be seen in the stool they are easily treatable. Therefor this health guarantee DOES NOT cover Coccidia or Giardia treatments or medication.
All puppies adopted from Doug & Wendy Skogen are adopted as pet quality only. All puppies are sold as pets; no guarantee is made as to disposition, conformation, color, markings, or size. We do not guarantee show quality or sell as future breeders. We HIGHLY recommend that you spay/neuter your new puppy as soon as your vet advises you to do so.
** I cannot stress this enough..... I know that you are excited to take your new puppy home and show him off to everyone and take him everywhere (I don't blame you) BUT do not do this until ALL of his/her vaccinations are complete! This could be life threating to a puppy if he/she come in contact with certain diseases. **
In no event shall Doug & Wendy Skogen's liability exceed the amount you paid for your puppy.
We hope that your new puppy brings you as much joy as they have us!
